Quest: Cook's Assistant Requirements: 40 Thieving Recommendations: Level 50+ Combat Super Energy potions Food (if below 50 combat) Rewards: Spoiler 2 Quest Points 1 million Thieving xp Shadow Sword Details: Follow along below for instructions to complete the quest. Spoilers ahead! Full Quest Guide Spoiler Varrock Spoiler To begin, teleport to Varrock using the ::tele varrock command. Speak with Roddeck and advance through the chats. When asked, select option 1 for "Who was killed?" Head to the Blue Moon Inn to the south. Speak with Dr. Harlow and advance through all chats. Then, speak with the Cook in the back and advance through all chats. Head down the ladder in the kitchen to check out the basement. Search the Crates in the east side of the room to obtain the Rusty Scimitar Head back up the ladder and speak to the Bartender, advancing through all chats. Head across the street to the sword shop. Speak to the Shopkeeper. When presented, choose option 1 to ask about the shadow sword. Next stop, Al Kharid! Al Kharid Spoiler Use the ::tele al kharid command to teleport directly to the city. Head slightly northwest to the first building, Zeke's sword shop. Speak to Zeke. Advance through all chats until you reach these options. Select option 1. Note: Speak with him again and choose option 2 to ask about the shadow sword. I am not sure if this is required. Head east around the palace, then all the way south to the Shantay Pass. Speak to Shantay and advance through all chats. Select option 1 when presented. Back to Varrock! Varrock, again Spoiler Use the ::tele varrock command to teleport directly to the city. Speak to Roddeck in the square, advancing through all chat options. He will notify you of a bank robbery! Head to the Varrock West Bank to investigate. Speak with any banker inside the Varrock West Bank. Advance through all chats. Head up the ladder in the northwest part of the bank. Once upstairs, head to the southeast corner and pick up the clay on the ground. The nearest clay mining spot to the West Bank is the Champion's Guild quarry. Use the command ::tele champ to get to the front door, then run just west to the quarry. Click on the very suspicious looking "Rocks" in the quarry. Gasp! It's a person! Advance through all chat options with Eblis until you are presented with the following. Select option 1. Once the conversation is over, Eblis will go back to his very good disguise. You should notice you now have the Shadow Sword and Exalted Silver Ring in your inventory. Head back to the Blue Moon Inn by following the path to the northeast. Speak with Dr. Harlow, giving him the Exalted Silver Ring, and advance through all chats. Select option 1 when presented and continue. To find Dr. Harlow's secret stash, follow the road south and east out of the city. Go past the dark wizards and southeast of the sheep. Search the Broken Cart to find the Ring of Visibility Onward to the desert! The Desert Spoiler Low levels, bring food here! Use the command ::tele poll to get to the closest desert city to the Desert Mining Camp - Pollnivneach. Head northwest to the front gate of the Desert Mining Camp. Equip your Shadow Sword and Ring of Visibility. Note: Even while invisible, the Mercenaries guarding the gate will attack you. You cannot pickpocket during combat, so try to lure them away if you are too low level to kill them. Pickpocket the Mercenary Captain to get the Key , then enter the gate. Note: If you fail the pickpocket, you will be stunned and hit for 5 damage. Low levels beware! Head to the building to the north inside the camp and open the Curtain to enter. Head up the ladder. Pick up the Book on the table upstairs. I wonder if there is an expert in ancient text that could decipher this? The Digsite Spoiler Perhaps an archaeological expert at the Digsite could decipher the book? Use the command ::tele senntisten to get to the digsite. Run southeast until you reach the Exam Centre. Speak to the Examiner inside the Exam Centre to advance through all chat options. Congratulations, quest complete! Note: You will actually receive 1 million Thieving xp upon completion. One wonders what the Examiner learned from this book... Shoutout to Winter for a very well put together quest!
