Longshot 9
Welcome to the Farming skill guide! This guide will be broken up into several categories depending on the type of activity. Follow along for information gathered by myself and from suggestions from the community. Remember to use your Voting Tickets for 10 minutes of 50% bonus xp! Obtaining a pair of Magic Secateurs from the skilling rewards at ::shops is helpful for herb runs. A Magic Watering Can from ::shops is also helpful for watering seeds in plant pots. Step 1: Gathering Seeds Spoiler To begin, you will need to gather some seeds. There are several ways to go about this. 1. Pickpocket Martin the Master Gardener or the Master Farmer in Draynor village's market (Requires 38 Thieving) Spoiler To get to Draynor village, open the world map for the list of teleport locations. Go to Cities > Draynor. Pickpocket Martin the Master Gardener or the Master Farmer in the marketplace area until you have enough low level seeds to begin. The goal here is to first obtain 3 or more potato seeds, and potentially some other low level seeds like onion, tomato, corn, herb seeds, etc. Getting the 3 potato seeds may take 10+ minutes (results may vary). Proceed to Step 2: Planting Seeds 2. Pickpocket the farmer north of the chicken hut, to the northeast of Lumbridge castle for potato seeds Spoiler Do ::tele lumby, run over the bridge to the east, run north near the chickens, then north of the hut. Pickpocket this farmer for potato seeds. He only gives coins and potato seeds. 3. Train Slayer or kill monsters for seed drops Spoiler Kill any of the following monsters for seeds Produce Seeds All Produce - Ankou - ::tele train All Produce - Cave crawler - ::tele frem Watermelons - Abyssal Demon - ::tele slayer tower Watermelons - Bloodveld - ::tele slayer tower Watermelons - Tormented demon - ::tele tormented demon Herb Seeds All Herbs - Aquanite - ::tele frem All Herbs - Dagannoth - ::tele water All Herbs - Ankou - ::tele train All Herbs - Cave horror - ::tele horror All Herbs - Abberant Spectre - ::tele slayer tower Irit/Avantoe/Kwuarm - Bloodveld - ::tele slayer tower Fellstalks - Abyssal Demon - ::tele slayer tower Wood Tree Seeds Willow/Maple - Aquanite - ::tele frem Yew/Magic - Skeletal Wyvern - ::tele skeletal Yew/Magic - Abyssal Demon - ::tele slayer tower Yew/Magic - Demonic Gorilla - ::tele demonic gorilla ...and many, many, many more. Comment below with suggestions! Step 2: Planting Seeds Spoiler Once you have your beginning 3 potato seeds, teleport to a farm patch. Skilling > Farm Patch It is highly recommended you favorite these teleports for your future training (click the star). Purchase the necessary tools from the Tool Leprechaun on-site and place them on your toolbelt. Then, rake the appropriate allotment patch and plant your potato seeds. Proceed to Step 3: Checking Growth Step 3: Checking Growth Spoiler Check on your plants in about 5-10 minutes to give them time to grow. This varies by plant type. Take note of the intervals as you train. Click to Harvest and pick all the produce. Note: You need 50 baked potatoes and 50 sweetcorn for the quest "The Founding Festival", so keep them!! As you progress through the levels, my recommended leveling strategy would be to train Slayer to get lots of seeds as drops and focus on herb runs, limpwurt roots, watermelons, and wood tree patches. Come back soon for more updates and strategies!
Goddess 130
Nice framework for the guide at the moment. I can see it's not complete, which is understandable as there is a lot of information you can and will most likely be including. My personal favourites for some seeds: Dagannoths at ::tele cata - All herb seeds Aquanites at ::tele frem - Willow/Maple seeds Skeletal Wyverns at ::tele skeletal - Yew/Magic Seeds
