Naively, I figured that maybe display names didn't need to be unique, so I just went with John. It occurs to me that this might have been why the client told me to change my name to play. However, there does not appear to be an option to do that anywhere. I would really like help with this, otherwise I might have to go with another rsps... The forums and ingame accounts are not the same, so the only thing you need to do is try a different name and enter a new password for it. After you have created an account you can go ahead and type ::vote ingame to then link your ingame account to your forums account.
