Question about .jar and Mac's...

Question

hey guys! my ign is Stoned and i haven't been able to login cause everytime i open the elylauncher.jar file on my mac it closes after loading to 100%, never to be seen again until i run it again only for it to repeat what it did. my java is at the latest version and i've allowed it through my firewall...what else can i possibly do? i miss this rsps.

edit: .jar files for other rsps' are running smoothly, it's after i accidentally pressed "auto configure" that it started doing this... i re-installed the jar too but after loading it always keeps closing, never to be seen again. 😞

Solution: You most likely clicked "Auto-setup" on your first launch. To resolve this issue
open your Home folder, then un-hide hidden folders by typing Shift + Command + . (that's a period/dot).
You should now see a folder named ".Ely" - now just delete that folder.
Now reboot your client & you should see the option again to "Auto-setup" or "Leave alone" - click LEAVE ALONE.
You're all set!

Hi,

My ign is Knight24, and I am having the same problem and this did not work.

Hey sorry to hear - my next idea would be trying to just use the direct client. This would not auto update and would need to be re downloaded on updates but give this a shot and let me know ❤️ http://files.elyrsps.net/Client.jar

It still wont work. I tried every thing from deleting and reinstalling it, turning my mac off and back on, but nothing seems to work.

I found a work around for the problem. I made another user on my mac and the client runs normally on it, but other then that I don't know what else can be done. Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

Wow I completely forgot to reply to this, I'm so sorry - lol
However, really glad you found a way to make this work! That's really odd but hey if it works, it works. Glad you got it 😛
