I have to agree with Boats on this, the horns look plain stupid in my opinion. I'd prefer if you could put your own spin on it, Splash. Abyssal and Kalphite feel more personal to that npc and look very nice.

Finding a way to incorporate them into the skill itself could be cool - Utilise the achievements systems (another rework lol) and have it in tiered stages. For example we could have a 4 tier woodcutting achievement centred around chopping X amount of logs - You get each piece of Lumberjack with each tier. As for the shop itself, getting those skilling mystery boxes into it would be the main thing for me so that they could be removed from voting shop.

Hello all, Currently we have to use 1 Dark Totem on the Altar in the middle of the Catacombs to initiate the fight with Skotizo, it's instanced and we have to teleport out after the kill. -------------------------------- I have a few quality of life suggestions and I will list them below. Please note they are all separate suggestions but with the same idea in mind. Allow us to use 1-5 Dark Totems on the Altar to initiate an instance where we will be able to fight 1-5 Skotizo one after the other. (Same respawn timer as gwd bosses) After all are killed, we have to teleport out as normal and use more dark totems to initiate a new instance. Add a replica Altar within the Skotizo instance where we can use another Dark Totem to re-initiate the fight. (This will allow more than the cap of 5 suggested above) Add a right click 'consume' option to Dark Totems, when used within the instance it will initiate a new fight with Skotizo. (Similar to option two, but changes the totem instead of adding an altar) -------------------------------- If any of the above changes were made it will eliminate the need to teleport out and then teleport back to the altar. Most players do multiple Skotizo kills without banking or using the healer at home and it will just make it quicker to knock out those kills. As it's instanced, ancient donators can't use the bank command, so there is no unfair advantage in that respect to allowing more Skotizo kills per instance. Please let me know your general thoughts.

So this seems to be more of an inconsistency than it does a bug. I received Dagannoth Prime Jr from a Supreme kill. I received Dagannoth Supreme Jr from a Prime kill. The screenshots below show this, I'm not sure if anyone else has received these in the same way I have.

This thread has generated a lot of discussion with cases being made for all sides and perspectives. However it's now going around in circles with the same sort of responses and points being made. For this reason, I personally think that this thread should be closed to further discussion - I'm hoping you will all agree with me.

While this is a nice idea, those average prices will have to come from somewhere to begin with. If this is introduced to the GE, then surely the first sale of an item will generate that average and the data will be skewed - unless there is someway for it to pull previous history. I also think a lot of items are not sold on the GE and instead done via player to player trading, so what happens with the averages in that instance? I like the idea and would be all for supporting it however, I think the above points need to be considered fully before something like this can be introduced.

I second this for the blue/green elegant blouse/skirt - although adding these to squeal of fortune would also be viable. Also I really think the boxes should be focused around cosmetics or items which aren't going to have too much impact on the economy.

No I'm not - the snippet from my post shown below doesn't say that? I meant adding balmung as a drop from the Supreme since this is the only one you can kill with melee (and balmung). Why should rex drop it just because it's a melee weapon? (this is what I was saying) The word "currently" highlighted below from my original post was a grammatical mistake and I was stating that adding balmung to supreme's drop table would break the general ruling that they drop the ring that matches their combat style (meaning rex should in theory drop the balmung)

I'm thinking adding it as a drop from Supreme would be okay and I'll explain why below. Supreme is the only one you can kill with melee and Balmung is a melee weapon. The DKS currently drop the ring that matches their combat style but this will break that general ruling. I think giving it a better damage output when killing Supreme will be just fine.

I can understand what you're saying with this suggestion, however adding them to the donator store wouldn't be the way to go - in my opinion. On the other hand for example, if someone owns 2 helms and a body then the option to trade 1 helm for 1 legs might be acceptable. (I think in a controlled manner, with approval before hand maybe?) An obvious issue may be that if someone has a large quantity of a certain piece that they can then get multiple sets - this shouldn't be the case hence the controlled manner point above. I mean maybe it would be much better for the economy if there were completed sets in-game rather than a lot of mis-match spare parts.

Agreed with more variation with monsters. Facing the dag kings in there for example would be quite entertaining. Death = restart is okay and reasonable to be a thing since that's how it works in RS but would definitely get behind Nomad being removed if that's the case. Nothing would be more disheartening than getting through 90 floors and then being faced with nomad - limited on supplies left. A lot of this revolves around the gloves being BIS for the respective styles - While Dominion Tower should be a challenge, it should be quite achievable for the average player.

Hi all, Quick suggestion to remove Nomad and Kalphite Queen from Dominion Tower as nobody fights these, it's an automatic suicide for everyone. It's still going to take 3 hours to finish 100 floors, it's still a random chance on getting specific gloves afterwards. Still a chance that players will have to do multiple dom tower runs to complete the glove set. If you can think of a logical drawback, please feel free to post below. I personally can't see a drawback to their removal as the cutscenes are still in place and it's still a fixed amount of time spent in the tower.

These changes would affect all ironman accounts. My understanding is that Splash would like to convert the existing iron accounts into "legacy" irons. Meaning that any existing iron accounts when the changes roll out will go onto a legacy highscores, leaving the current Ironman highscores completely clear for a new beginning with the changes to the mode. So current ironman accounts will not lose progress, it's just they will not be counted on the actual ironman highscores. So you can still continue to play your account as normal if you so wish.

Would either of you be able to expand on why you're not a fan or don't agree with some of it? Anything specific you don't agree with? Why don't you agree with those specific things? How would you do things differently? Any adaptations you could suggest to the initial ideas? Any changes you would make that aren't in the the initial post by Splash? Constructive criticism will be quite valuable to the development process and I'm very sure your opinions will be valued.

I assume this means custom content? Please don't add this yet. Let us start with traditional RuneScape equipment and use our own skills to upgrade. Part of the start to ironman life is utilising all skills and knowledge of the game to improve ones self. Yes to this, but please don't nerf it right into the ground where they're completely useless. Skilling supplies, ranging from low tier, mid tier and high tier (with high being rare, obviously) - in completely random amounts (random number gen with a cap maybe?). This would need to be carefully balanced, so it ISN'T the best method to obtain supplies. Keep crystal bow and shield - rare chance. Maybe make the "rare" items dragon equipment? Med helm, plate legs, longsword etc. Dark totem pieces but make them way less common. Remove clues, let us obtain them from killing npcs. Keep these 3 stores to the absolute basics, to get irons started. Magic Store - Keep a set quantity of runes as a daily limit per ironman account. Maybe just elementals, mind and chaos runes. Allowing irons to runecraft any cosmic, nature, death, blood and soul runes. Remove armours, replace staves with the basic elemental staves. Either keep ancient staff or add a method to obtain it. Range Store - Keep up to mithril arrows/bolts as well as the corresponding weapon to use mithril ammo. (Willow bow / Mithril Crossbow) Take all other items out of here. Fix leather crafting, so irons can create leather chaps/body etc. Add a way to obtain ava's devices, or just keep them in? Melee Store - Reduce this down to iron/steel armour maybe? To be honest, this shop could be removed entirely if the starter pack has melee equipment? (Iron armour) Keep lobsters, replace the super pots with basic pots. Keep a limited quantity of prayer potions (not super restores). Keep the rock cakes. Yes to this, allowing irons a way to obtain bis weaponry without harming the economy if they de-iron is a positive. Perhaps a chaotic weapon could be consumed as well as a bunch of DG tokens in order to create the forlorn primal weapon? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So that's my thoughts on some of the above points. I will now expand on some other ideas. Remove essentials store for irons. Currently it has damaged god books for sale, let us get the four pages from clue scrolls and then the book will be created when using the pages on each other. Starter pack can include darklight, unless it can be obtained through regular gameplay somehow. Skilling Store - This should have all basic tools for skilling (Pickaxe/Hatchet up to STEEL only?), make the vials of water/spirit shard packs limited quantity or a daily limit. Make Bob just a repair NPC and remove his shop altogether for everyone (Lol, has useless items in it anyway) Keep sanfew's secondary supplies but make them limited quantity or a daily limit. Secondaries will be a nuance to obtain, so this is a fair ask on a private server. Pikkiupstix secondary summoning shop to be kept - again limited quantity or daily limit maybe? Same point as above, private server. It's a fair ask. Skilling Rewards Shop - So this is an interesting one, because it should be fair for ironman accounts to be able to obtain these outfits. Agile Top/Bottom - Obtained by running a set number of laps (cumulative) on ANY agility course? Rather than being locked behind the level 85 and 90 requirements like it is on RS. Lumberjack - Add temple trekking OR when Woodcutting, obtain "something" that can be used to unlock or create ONE outfit piece? OR just make the whole piece a random chance drop from obtaining logs. Black Ibis - Add pyramid plunder, make it obtainable by chance when completing a set number of rooms (Chests in the middle giving chance at pieces?) Golden Mining - Same as Lumberjacks, maybe obtained through mining ores successfully. Maybe a random event scenario with a chance to obtain a piece. Fishing Waders - Same as wc/mining but with fishing - again maybe a random event scenario? Cooking/Goldsmith gaunts - Successfully cook so many pieces of food for the gloves / Smelt so many gold bars for the gloves. Firemaking gloves/Ring/Inferno Adze - Fire Spirits (Rare chance at adze) Watering Can / Magic Secateurs - Growing herbs/trees successfully or allotments successfully, anything like that really. Yaktwee Stick - Successful hunter catches in a row or set amount of catches in general. Maybe an item to be obtained and can then be used on a regular butterfly net? PVM Rewards Shop - Remove everything as long as overloads/prayer renewals work in Herblore correctly. Elite Void can be added to pest control for irons to unlock? I still do feel like something needs to be in this shop as iron accounts will earn PvM points, unless that's being nullified? Achievements system will need looking into as it gives GOOD rewards across the board which are fundamentally breaking ironman play. Either disable it for irons for now or change the rewards accordingly to be more suited for the game mode. (While still rewarding their efforts) Slayer Points Store - Keep as is, it's rewarding for irons and cannon can't be obtained anywhere else. If you want to change the amount of points to obtain, that could be a possibility. After all, we have to make our own cannonballs if they're removed from pvm store (like they should be) Remove SOF for ironman accounts - it's very good for skilling supplies in it's current state which is very bad. Seasonal Boss - Maybe the drop table needs looking into. I get that it's only seasonal but as it stands, it still gives a good set of drops. Are we okay with this due to the time frame it's in-game? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will add more as time goes on. DISCLAIMER: These are just my opinions/ideas and everything in this post is up for discussion.
