  1. this has been an issue for a long time and should have been fixed long ago. Definitely annoying and a bit worrying when you nearly make urself vulnerable when it pops up in game or in disc. SUPPORT
  2. Name: nelly suggestion: server home relocation/navigation why: I think we need a new home location thats convenient for new players and everyone in general. Having a new location we could have everything that is already in the pre-existing home with a new dedicated shops area, with all npc shops including new npcs for the ::shops settings and max, as well as all skillcape npcs available in one or two areas to eliminate confusion amongst new players. When i started i felt like i was running around with my head cut off not knowing where shops were or where to get stuff. Now that ge has been fixed i think this would be a great implementation for shop npcs in one, as u can still buy stuff from shops in ge, but also having the npcs you know an alternative spot to buy ur gear/supplies. This new home location could be done by a poll or something but I'll suggest a few: your typical edgeville, maybe add kourend and make it the center of kourend, piscatoris fishing colony, dogesh-kann area, oo' glog, sanguinesti region, burgh de rott, maybe even an area like this NAVIGATION Next area i'd like to get onto would be navigation: starting out on ely most people don't read through the guide when they start and are dazed and not sure what to do or navigate. So, I think if we get a command for ::teles which will pop up and tell you all locations like ::teles in ur console. A lot of people don't know how to use or open console and it can be troublesome trying to explain to people how to get it open etc. Most people that join new servers look for commands like this so they know where to tele to or the commands. As well as a teles navigation revamp i think a ::commands menu should be implemented IN-GAME not redirect to forums. this is a bit more convenient as some people may get annoyed by new tabs opening on browser.
  3. suggestion 1: Name: nelly suggestion: toktz xil ul why: they need to be nerfed. 1: the attack speed to absurd and should be made to its proper speed of 3 ticks per hit or even 4 ticks to make them not even an option for anything anymore 2: they are basically bis range main-hand for anything that doesn't require a cbow or zaryte because of the strength and speed of them. This makes blowpipe irrelevant and dead content. Pair these with swifts and they are insane. 3: the price of them is 243 gp per disc and instant buy/unlimited in ge. To compare these to rune knives, they are the same attack speed, require lower range and a lot more expensive to buy in ge. (rune knives price in ge is 1335 and insta-buy) - - they have been like this since release most likely but only been discovered of how powerful they actually are recently. A lot of people are complaining in-game and it just doesn't make sense to keep these in their current state when everyone knows how ridiculously strong/low requirement/low cost they are. suggestion 2: Name: nelly suggestion: graetios bow why: increase range strength on this bow to 115-130 because without it this bow is garbage in comparison to zaryte. This bow was suppose to better than zaryte but the only advantage it has is the attack speed. It isn't strong at all to compete with it and increasing the ranged strength is the only way to revive this weapon and make it useful and relevant again.
  4. What do you really think of Ely in its current state? Well, the current state of ely seems to be diminishing in terms of active players, as when I first joined about a year ago. I do worry about the longevity of the server and getting more and more players onto this server to make it more active. Thing is, when new people do join, probably less than 10-15 players are even online which seems to deter a lot of newcomers which is the cold hard truth of it. To add onto this, most players that are online refrain from even trying to help the new meat when they need help. Which leads to maybe one or two people actually showing interest and aid in showing them the ropes of the server. What makes you come back to play everyday? Honestly, I'm not sure at this point as to why... addicted maybe, filling a void of boredom; At this point, I've already achieved everything I've wanted to so logging in just helps me pass some time when I can I guess. I do enjoy logging in and trying to help players as much as possible, seeing what other players are up too and how active the server is. What would you really like to see in the future of Ely? I'd like to see the server grow and have upwards of 30+ concurrent active players at a time and people actually enjoying there stay, as well as, putting in the time and effort on all this new content being brought into the game. In terms of changing how things work to getting more players or improving game quality, I have no opinion. Not sure what to even suggest or what could be done Any comments of issues you think are currently concerning? I know there has been times where there was loads of people online but I think a lot of new people or old like to move onto better things ie: new servers, jobs, LIFE! Also, this ties into the last part, being burnt out from the server in general, not striving for new goals or whatever it may be. It's really unfortunate that the dev team do such a great job and put so much effort into new content such as : gorillas, ruins of grae, ZULRAH etc... and all of these updates are dead content. I've scarcely seen anyone grinding any of these 3 at all. I think there has to be changes to these bosses, whether it be changes to the hp/mechanics or evne drop rates ( but then again we don't to have a influx of drops that are worthless and no market for them) keeping the bosses somewhat relevant and alive. Most people who try to do any of these complain of the difficulty of these or how long it takes to kill and basically give up and move on. There is only a handful of players who actually will do this content and the ones that do dont have max gear so this is in part of the difficulty situation.

Guide to killing Harbinger Xrul THIS BOSS IS INSTANCED SO DON'T BRING ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE ::Tele ruins Starting out with GEAR so you can bring up to 3+1 (protect item prayer) of you're best items that you will want to keep on death then I'd suggest the rest untradeables, also being on task is very helpful for killing harbinger IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO BRING A DIVINE TO REDUCE INCOMING DAMAGE AND REDUCE THE SPECIAL ATTACK FROM HARBINGER FROM - 600 TO 420 - good starting point for very minimal risk this is an example of low risk gear setup with protect item ON bandos godsword is for lowering defence on harbinger, can also be swapped for a dragon warhammer Best gear setup for on/off tasks (higher risk) Next will be inventory setup An inventory like this will be just fine, but you could swap out some rocktails for more brews, or play around with your own setup to figure out what works best for you (could also swap out dragon claws for dragon dagger which can nearly 3/4 spec drake) Getting your killcount and altar bonus To start your joruney to the killing harbinger xrul you need to get your killcount so head over to ::Tele ruins and talk to General Grisis who will give you two options of rooms to work towards your killcount in So if you are soloing its 5 killcount to enter the boss room, for duo you need a total of 10 killcount split between you and your partner (so 5kc ea person in that party) - Alternatively, you could use void soulstones which will be straight entry (skip killcount) to the fight ~ soulstones can be bought from slayer rewards shop for 400 slayer points (one time use per stone)~ - Altars so when you enter either the east room or west room you can see an altar in the center of each room these altars give you boost effects that are beneficial in the fight against harbinger xrul East room West room east room effect is your combat stats are boosted to 150 West room effect is you are able to boost your hitpoints to 2000 (ONLY BOOSTABLE TO 2000 WITH TORVA) Lastly, The FIGHT So once you've got your 5 kc and activated the altar for your boost and boosted up to 2000 hitpoints. Enter the boss room through the north barrier and turn on your prayers Activate the fight by clicking on the portal on the north side of the room you will keep protect from magic on at all times until the boss starts with the raining of fire, similar to grae then switch on protect from ranging once this attack occurs so you aren't taking full damage from these attacks Next is the special attack from harbinger, which will come across the floor in purple, make sure you have divine on to only receive a hit of 420 as opposed to maximum hit of 600 from this attack without divine And finally the void drake, which will spawn from harbinger at roughly 3000 hp. Try and finish him off as quick as possible to avoid unnecesary damage and finish the fight quicker ===== two clips of will and myself doing harb ~~Thanks to the BEAST@Will for video contribution~~ One last note for anyone wanting to train prayer with void bones bring your bones and pestle and mortar to this altar @ ::Tele ruins - -use your bones on the altar to bless them blessed void bones -grind your bones up with a pestle and mortar to get the paste Ground void bones -then scatter or use on gilded altar your to get prayer xp - - Hope this guide helped, Goodluck!-
  9. suggestion 1: Username: Nelly suggestions : npc to make unfinished potions why: this will be beneficial for people who have a bunch of clean/grimy herbs that don't want to go through the long process of making unfinished potions. suggestion 2: Username: Nelly suggestions : ability to decant flasks why: having all doses of different flasks and the only way to fill each one is by manually filling can be rather frustrating

  11. support, i think making them non-tradeable would be great. also like the idea of repurposing the idea of skilling points. Only thing is, what could the rewards be? for example : 15k skilling points unlocks the ability "if using infernal pickaxe, you get 1/3 chance to combust the ores you're mining". even x-amount of points to unlock the ability to do rooftop agility if added. I think the possibilities could be endless
  12. for me, starting a new different career within the heating and cooling industry has opened my eyes. This wasn't my initial first choice as a career, as i wanted to pursue a career as an Electrician (with no luck) and now I'm unsure if i want to get back on that horse and try to find someone who will take me on again, or stick with the company I am with now. none hte less, got a whole year ahead of me so I can try to figure something out. very cool career choice callum, wish you the best of luck!
