  1. I have questions on how to compete and complete squares. 1. Do any existing requirements already completed count? (probably not right?) Example would be, if I need a dragon defender but already own one, does that count? 2. Is there a way to check progress of a square? (such as opening the ckey chests. Example showing 20/250 complete?) 3. Can items be bought to count towards finishing a square? Such as buying 250 ckeys? 4. Does the 5 squares in a row with the Ely logo behind them mean something special? Special reward maybe? 5. Can any of the items just be purchased from the donator shop, such as the chaotic weapon/dragon set/armadyl set? Not that I plan on doing that if it's possible, just curious.. More specific questions for the squares: 1. "Any 1 unique" square. Does this only count if it's one of the 3 items in the image or as long as it's any rare item? Does it have to be a drop? Same question applies for the "Any 2 uniques" and "Any 3 uniques" 2. "Any 1 DFS". Does it count if I have a dragon square shield and already own a visage, combine? Do all parts have to be gathered from scratch? 3. "Any Chaotic". Does this mean to purchase a chaotic weapon? If so, do we simply need the dung points to just buy something? 4. "Dragon Tools". Does this mean we just need to get a single dragon tool as a drop? Can we buy it? Do we need the two dragon tools from the image? 5. "Armadyl Set". Does this include the helm, body, and legs? I assume if so, it wouldn't count as a completion if we got duplicates of a single item like the helm, but not getting the legs? Has to be the full set? 6. "Cannon unlocked". Not sure what this means. Do we just need to own a cannon and set it up somewhere? Do we have to get the cannon from some place? 7. "Dragon set". Do chainbody and dragon helm count? Do they have to be platebody and full helm? Sorry for all the questions. Just want to make sure I know how to complete squares and what they mean. Hoooot

  3. Some of you may know me, some may not. My main account is Owl. I've been playing Ely off and on for over two years. I've always loved the server and enjoyed spending time on it. Since getting my current job, I've been working quite a lot. I haven't been able to be online as much these past several months which is why I'm sure a lot of people may not recognize me, unfortunately. I think right now I'm in a place where I think I need to take a break or leave Ely. At the moment I'm leaning towards leaving. My main reasons are: work, need to focus on my real life more, and just lack of things to do in Ely that keep me going. My main thing to do in Ely was skilling but once I hit 5b xp, I kinda hit a wall. I started bossing but that didn't last long. I'd try and help people out as much as I could, do hide and seek games here and there, do giveaways, etc. Now I'm just at a lack of things to keep me wanting to get on. I attempted to do a skilling service to help people get to certain levels or xp in skills. I helped two people which was a lot of fun for me. Having been promoted to Support not too long ago, I've felt the responsibility to get on as much as I could on my free time to help out more. I've been honored to get the position, but at the same time, any time people have requested help or had questions there always seems to be at least one or more people online that are also willing to help. I'm not saying that the support role isn't necessary but there are definitely enough players on that are always willing to help, which is one thing I love about the server. I think my leave will be good for me and I don't think it'll effect the server much at all if any. I'll just be a distant memory to those who actually knew of my existence haha. I'd say I'll still stick around on discord but honestly I basically only use discord for Ely. If anyone would like to keep in touch, feel free to send me a pm on discord (owl#8045). I won't say I will never return but more than likely if at all, it won't be any time soon. I will miss those I've had long deep conversations with and helped each other out with things in game. I love Ely and it's been a nice part to have been a part of in my life.
  4. Owl’s Skilling Service Hello! Welcome to my Skilling Service Price Guide. This is a new service I am starting that consists of you choosing a desired skilling-type skill to be trained and picking a goal to reach (level 99 or 200m xp). Some of you may wonder why I am doing this. I got the idea from seeing people previously doing other services in-game for things such as Fight Kiln. I personally love skilling. Not too long ago I reached the maximum amount of xp you can get on my account. Since then I have been slowly running out of things that make me want to get on and do as much. To combine it all, I wanted to start this service. I think this is a great idea because it's a win/win for the person receiving the service as well as myself. You benefit by having to do essentially no work to have a skill trained and I benefit because it'll give me something to do that I enjoy that I can't do on my own account anymore. Rules 1. I will not do Legend xp rate accounts. I currently do not have the time to invest 2. I can work with Easy xp rate accounts but Regular xp rate accounts have priority 3. I will not do ironmen UNLESS you have another method to pay for the desired service 4. Prices are not set in stone. The prices below will be a starting point. They CAN be negotiated 5. Starting prices are also “high” to prevent too many people requesting services. If service requests are low, prices can be lower. If the demand for services is high, price may be higher. Also realize I have limited time and will focus one service request at a time 6. If you have access to the Donator Zone ($5+ donator), some skills will cost less 7. If a skill requires supplies, it will cost less if you provide them. More if I have to get by myself 8. Before doing anything on your account, I will keep record of your items and money via screenshot for my own safety. I will not disclose this information with anyone unless there is a question or accusation of something. I do not want to risk anyone accusing me later that something was “missing” when they get back on. This protects both of us 9. I currently work a lot so I can only be online for around 5~ hours a day roughly (7pm-12am EST). Cost for a service may also depend on my availability as well as your own. Meaning if you want to use your account while I’m off work, it will give me less time to do skilling on your account. Each service request will have to be planned out accordingly 10. Payment can be given in segments while skilling or all at once before skilling 11. This is my first attempt at doing this service. Rules and prices are more than likely to change over time depending on how things go Suggestions 1. If you’re currently using a password that you would rather not share, you can always change your password temporarily to something new for the service. To do so, click the Squeal of Fortune tab in-game, next to the spellbook. There you’ll find an option that says “Change Password” 2. If at any time you decide to cancel the service request before the goal is reached, let me know. An example: If you pay upfront the cost before I start skilling and I get halfway there, I will refund half the cost back to you. I will not keep the full payment if the goal is not reached. 3. I know this should be common sense, but if you're interested in my service do NOT post your username and password publicly. Regular xp rate accounts To get level 99 Runecrafting: 175m Construction: 350m Agility: 250m Herblore: 250m Thieving: 200m Crafting: 250m Fletching: 250m Hunter: 250m Mining: 350m Smithing: 250m Fishing: 150m Cooking: 150m Firemaking: 150m Woodcutting: 150m Farming: 250m To get 200m xp Runecrafting: 1,100m Construction: 1,700m Agility: 1,400m Herblore: 1,300m Thieving: 1,100m Crafting: 1,200m Fletching: 1,200m Hunter: 1,300m Mining: 2,147m Smithing: 1,700m Fishing: 1,100m Cooking: 1,100m Firemaking: 1,100m Woodcutting: 1,100m Farming: 1,300m *Currently not listing Easy xp account price rates. Will add if requested. If you're interested in my service or have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here or send me a message on discord. My name on discord is owl#8045. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Just remember I currently work a lot so if I do not reply, best guess is I'm still at work or sleeping. Skilling Services Completed 1. Kaotic - Request: 120 dungeoneering Starting level: 83 (2,909,319 xp) Final: 120 (147,738,289 xp) Time to complete: roughly 15 hours 2. Drop Party

I'm sad I won't be able to be there. More than likely will be working much later than when this starts.
  6. They don't work for me. Ely does though
  7. Update on my bank. Just a small screenshot of items I currently have that are worth something. I have roughly 5b worth of misc items in my bank not shown. My bank was a bit bigger but after doing max xp, I donated multiple max cashes on the well for the bonus xp, vote tickets, agility tickets, and gear. Idk how much I spent total but I'd say easily 10-15b
  8. Black dhide? that's too op. no armor?
  9. I'm honored and will be the very best, like no one ever was. To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause. Wait... that's not right. Thanks for the position and will do my best
  10. Is there a required bet per match? I know there are newer players that won't have much, then some that have a lot to risk. Edit: or are there no bets, just planting flowers to see who wins?
  11. Starting comp requirements haha. I have only killed a few required bosses so far. Needless to say, I don't like bossing
  12. Finally achieved 5b total xp on April 27th at 11:36pm EST. I worked on getting 200m's a long time ago and never thought I'd actually go for max xp. There were too many skills I didn't enjoy or knew would take longer than I wanted to put the time in for. I played off and on for quite awhile until fairly recently deciding to go all in and try to get it. I spent the past several weeks grinding as much as I could, getting the most xp out of each skill that I could find. Often donating to the well, spending tons of gp. Some skills were very quick while others, such as mining, were not. Mining was my very last skill to finish because of the low xp rate. With it being my last skill, I continued to grind because I knew I was so close. And now here I am, having finally finished all skills. I'm so happy. I never thought I'd go for it or be able to have the time to invest in getting it done. It's such a relief but also sad because I love skilling and getting more xp. Now I won't be able to get anymore xp on my account.. I would like to thank those who sold me agility tickets so that I could train other skills while still being able to work on agility. Without you all, I would have had to spend a lot more time working on it. I also want to thank those who offered me advice along the way. And lastly, I want to thank those were supported me in general along the way and those few who showed up to my 5b achievement. It's greatly appreciated. P.s. Ely best
  13. so is there a way to currently get smithing outfit? I've never seen it in sof
  14. As a skiller and slowly working towards 5b xp, I'm constantly trying to figure out how to get the most xp out of each skill. With that being said, I found out about the Blacksmith outfit that gives bonus xp for smithing. We already have outfits in the skilling shop for woodcutting, mining, etc. With how slow smithing is anyways, I feel like adding the Blacksmith outfit to the skilling shop would be super beneficial.
  15. Small update. I've been working a job for around 6 months now and really enjoy it. Which surprises me since I never thought I'd actually find something I can withstand, let alone be happy with. I've worked a handful of jobs since I first started working and just assumed I'd never find something good. With my current job, I'm an essential employee so I'm still working regularly through this coronavirus business. I'm glad kinda cause I can still have an income but I'm also out and about basically every day. Sooo hopefully I don't get the virus and die lmao. To think, I'm finally at a point in my life where I'm not depressed for the first time, I have a good job, lost 40lbs, and I'm slowly working more and more to better myself. If I die now rip. As for the question on this thread... I still don't know exactly where I want to be in 10-20 years. I just want to still have a good stable job (hopefully same job), a stable relationship (been single too damn long), and a decent place to live. Currently I don't really care to own a home but I know most adults aim to own their own home. Maybe one day. I'm primarily focusing on saving money and looking into a new place to move into in the somewhat near future. Depending on this virus stuff. So yeah, that's about it for now. Just thought I'd give an update since my last post about being depressed basically my whole life. Just nice to not be in that condition anymore. It's weird cause I'm not used to it. I'm getting more and more used to it though, which is good
  16. Just updated my woodcutting guide!
  17. Thanks! I know a guide like this would be mostly used by newer players and they might not have donated yet, so no access to donator zone. Tried to find a decent free place to get magic trees. The two yew trees options, idk haha. I found the gnome spot and decided to add it to the guide. Then when I added the image, I was like.... uhhh... why did I do that. The skilling area is the best spot?? No idea... but hey, options!
  18. Hey everyone. I have a woodcutting guide posted already but it's a little outdated since things have changed such as the new home location. I know woodcutting is a pretty self explanatory skill to train but if you're a newer player, this might be helpful to learn new locations and make your time more efficient! Let's begin. Where to buy hatchets? At home (Type ::tele home OR press the Home button on your keyboard!) Trade the Skilling Store NPC for Iron Hatchet and Rune Hatchet. Trade Bob (right next to Skilling Store NPC) for Bronze, Iron, and Steel Hatchet. Levels 1-15: Normal Trees Begin with cutting Normal trees. Type ::tele skilling OR use the Notes tab (it's the blue circle with a T in the middle, at the bottom right), click Skilling Teleports, then Skilling Area. > Levels 15-30: Oak Trees Type ::tele catherby and go a little north OR go to Skilling Teleports > Farming > Catherby Levels 30-45: Willow Trees Type ::tele skilling or use the Skilling Teleports tab to go to Skilling Area (Image is shown above for the skilling area) Levels 45-60: Maple Trees Type ::tele camelot and follow the walking path west a little bit There are a few maple trees and they're near a bank! Levels 60-68: Yew Trees Type ::tele skilling or use the Skilling Teleports tab to go to Skilling Area (Image is shown above for the skilling area) You can also do ::tele gnome and go directly west a little bit and there will be a few yew trees with a bank nearby Levels 68-75: Ivy Type ::tele home OR Home button on keyboard. On the south side wall of the bank, there is a bunch of Ivy. Levels 75-99: Magic Trees First let me say, if you don't need magic logs for fletching or firemaking, I would suggest cutting ivy from 68-99. It gives more xp than magic trees. There are two decent options. If you're a free player (haven't donated money) I would suggest this first option Type ::tele duel and use the door on the fence to the west of the duel building. Go north east to the Mage Training Arena. There will be two magic trees here. There is a bank at ::tele duel OR If you have donated to the server ($5 at least) you will have access to the Donator Zone! To get here, type ::tele dz OR click the Squeal of Fortune tab (right next to spellbook), click Donator Options, then Donator Zone. Once here, run south and there will be multiple trees near a bank! If you want to get to 200m xp, ivy is the way to go!
