Lots of useful info here, guess I'll have to get around to actually updating mine like I keep saying I will. watchu mean finally?

I just thought I'd swoop in, tag lation a few times in discord, remember to take my meds, and introduce myself since I'm new around here. Most people call me Ryster, Ry, everyone, or shut the fuck up. I don't know what's up with that last one, but I usually just go along with it. Honestly, I'm a pretty simple guy. I like toitels and sometimes I open my mouth to inhale and then exhale. It gets exhausting trying to remember to do that, so I forget sometimes. Does anyone know where I can get some bandos? Asking for a friend.

Let's face it, minigames are dead content for the most part unless you're starting a fresh account and even then they phase out quickly. Let's make Minigames great again. Elite Minigames: Add a higher difficulty, higher return version of certain minigames. Barrows - tougher brothers Dominion Tower - remove cutscenes, add more bosses, death is a restart Fight Caves - more waves? suggestions? Possibly Fight Kiln - no cannon? suggestions? Monster Carnage - tougher rooms Pest Control - spawn all portals, remove shields, death is permanent (can't respawn) + other suggested minigames - suggested difficulty increase Other than the minigame points below, individual elite minigames should likely get buffed rewards as well. Probably double the normal rewards, possibly stacking with weekend bonus? Minigame Points: Add Minigame Points to every completion of an elite minigame Add a Minigame Points shop that sells Battle Royale auras for a high cost, increasing for each level There's a potential plethora of options to put in this shop, I just know that the auras from Battle Royale are fantastic additions that almost no one has because that minigame is hard to get going. It makes sense to have a great centerpiece reward to work for too, like the forlorn shard is now. Everything here can be changed, but it's important that we get the difficulty and rewards right otherwise we're back at square one.

Yes, I definitely agree with an expensive way to have the slayer helm effect without needing to wear it. Helms are already the weakest part of an armor set, and using void off task means you basically never need to have any. And I think it goes without saying that it should require a full slayer helm to achieve.

The gauntlet OR just boss instance with monsters.
DevilSkag replied to Chimpamzee's topic in Suggestions
let's go! yep, talked to @Splash about this over a year ago, so I fully support adding the gauntlet. -
I'd say make the kilns better than comp cape. Then IF comp (t) comes out it can be the all encompassing stat cape of our dreams. BTW, I say this also because god capes and ava's assembler are already on par with comp cape.

Support, but you can't prove I read anything after kiln capes. Remove unlimited ammunition donor perk from ranged PvP weapons (I would also remove it for onyx bolts e too) I can see this being an issue for people who currently have the unlimited ammo perk. It's possible there's a solution in just removing that perk from the wild, which I would be totally fine with (including some other perks probably). It's probable that PvP ranged weapons are too much of a grind to say they should stay attached to that perk, but Idk if I really think they're game breaking outside the wild. + Definitely in favor of removing more donor perks from the wild (including unl ammo)

*This is slightly outdated since Mate and I discussed lowering the overall number of vote tickets needed but adding a gold sink to trade the new item. I'd say Mate and I see eye to eye on this idea, and I think it's actually a pretty damn good one. There's some things I expect criticism for with it, so I'd like to address what I see as possible arguments. This reduces the incentive to actually donate This is a possible outcome if the conversion rate of votes to "donator tickets" isn't within a certain threshold. It's crucial that we maximize the amount of votes to bring in new players (who will likely either donate/vote themselves for a beautiful feedback loop), while also not over-incentivizing the system so that players will exclusively vote for "total donated" instead of actually donating. With a maximum of ~5k votes per year per forum account, voting twice a day every day, it would take around 2 weeks of non-stop voting to achieve $10 worth of "total donated" at the conversion rate we stopped at. Players will abuse this system by creating multiple accounts to get more "total donation" This is a valid argument, but you have to consider the logistics of accomplishing this and the effects it actually has. You can get around voting restrictions by creating a new forum account and using a VPN, this is true. However, The cumbersome process of doing this is more trouble than it's worth for the reward. The first criticism response comes into player here; If the conversion rate is just right, we will only be incentivizing normal voting. But lets evaluate what would happen in the case that people were doing this en masse. Even if there were some people who were motivated to "abuse" this loophole, all they're doing is working harder to boost the server while only cutting their time down a bit to get $10 worth of non-ep generating "total donated." If this were actually "abused" in any meaningful capacity, it would be incredibly niche and wouldn't last long. Players will just buy vote tickets to get their "total donated" up. Yes, but not anywhere near as fast or convenient as you would think. Vote tickets would very likely increase in value as a result of this change. At 250 votes per $10 (without ep) at 4m per vote you're looking at 1b GP. That would be on par with a normal $10 scroll, but it's also a guaranteed way to increase "total donated" over time, creating demand while the supply of these already useful items is always limited. Any excess vote tickets in the system after this was implemented would get scooped up very quickly. Essentially, what we get from this is a better incentive to vote, increasing our exposure while also adding a slow, yet balanced, but guaranteed method of increasing "total donated." I believe it's important, After having maxed their ability to use these "donator tickets," that that player could still buy these tickets and sell them on the market to retain the voting incentive. That might be more controversial though. Didn't think about this till after I posted, but we don't even hit a daily vote of 200, so with current output we wouldn't even produce 1 $10 "donator ticket" per day.

I've used this method since I learned how to use the console, but I don't think that's a reason not to bump the speed of using the SOF. Using that method in conjunction with even a 2x or 5x spin option would compound heavily and make the system infinitely less cumbersome and annoying. IDK if that's an old video, but the fact that you have almost 3k spins is rather telling of how much we need a speed increase lmao.

I tried this with a couple different ranged weapons and it's all the same outcome, ranged str bonus doesn't add to weapon bonus. Ranged str is overridden entirely when using bolts with Tyrannical ring IDK if this issue is contained only with the Tyrannical ring

I support a faster method of claiming sof spins

I think the real problem is people feel discouraged from voting at certain times when they think the total number won't hit 100 while they're online. An alternative solution would be to give some boxes to people who vote regardless of whether they're online or not, then everyone won't feel the need to "save" their vote. I also think there needs to be a system message that displays every time a certain threshold of voters is reached eg. 25, 50, 75.

Lation mentioned in early concepts of the upgrade chest you would only be able to chance your geart for an upgraded version without getting anything for failing. I think that's an awesome concept, but I'm also glad we have the current system. Although, I think we can have the best of both worlds by allowing upgradeable items the chance to go 1 tier higher (T3/T4) than they can currently go for another stat boost or potentially alternative bonus. Except this time instead of being able to upgrade the item with gems, you can only risk it. No guaranteed upgrades! Giving rewards for a failure is up in the air, but without a guaranteed upgrade path these items would be lucrative and valuable at the expense of heavy risk. It's also up in the air whether this upgrade would have a slightly higher success rate than previous upgrades. Overview Allow upgradeable geart to be chanced for 1 tier higher (T3/T4 depending on the geart) without the ability to do it with prismatic gems If yes: 1. Should there should be prismatic gem output in the case of a failure? 2. Should the chance to upgrade be a bit higher than earlier upgrades?

IDK if i'm really onboard with this one unless we can upgrade comp capes too or if comp (t) is essentially comp cape t2

Bump. Edited to reflect actual suggestion.

Amulet of Zealots boosts multi-skill prayers when it should only boost single-skill prayers. Without this distinction, Zealots is the BIS amulet. Per my understanding; the prayers in the red boxes should be buffed, while the prayers in the black boxes should not.

Sometimes Vorkath won't have the option to wake it up after killing it.

My comment wasn't intended to provoke, only to provide an alternative perspective. Your response came off as guarded to me, but maybe that wasn't the case. The only thing I'd possibly change is not saying "your numbers are dead wrong" because to you they weren't, which is fine. The reason I give a value to the void stones is because the main nuisance with Harb is the kc, in my opinion. Therefore, they'd be incredibly valuable to someone who wanted to farm him. Given that his drop rate for rares is 6:471 or 1:78.5 (that doesn't take into account our drop rate increase either). Guardian pieces 2b ea x 3 + Grae bow 6b + Eternal Staff 2b + void dye 2b = 16b / 6 = 2.6b avg. Divide that by your chance to get a drop per stone and it comes to 34m ea. That probably wouldn't be the number people would pay, but I'd say around 10-20m. Not being able to buy them doesn't mean they don't hold that value though is all I'm saying there. I don't consider 3 x tier 3 wells as giving away items because if you use it then you also benefit from it, it's just not directly in cash. I'd agree in the case that you're only buying the boxes to flip the contents that they're only worth what cash you can get from them. There's a lot of nuance involved here, I think.
-
I don't understand, do you feel attacked here? I provided criticism and you clearly validate that your initial numbers are wrong. every Nex piece can be sold for the prices that I listed, I've done so very recently. You're "right" about the armadyl battlestaffs, but you could just as easily use them in the well of goodwill for their examine value instead of using cash. Dragon claws and Dragon Warhammers are worth every bit of 200-250m considering you can also convert them to gems. in 85 easy kills of Harb you're practically guaranteed to get a high value item, if anything 10m ea is a low estimate. Just because you can't SELL them doesn't mean they don't have VALUE. Just because you might not know every efficient way to get every bit of value out of an item doesn't mean they're worth what you think they are. If 15b is your price to give all those items away I'd gladly take all of it for that and guaranteed I would almost double my money.
-
I'd actually like to point out that your numbers are dead wrong though, 15b is an incredibly low estimate. 2x Torva Helm - 1.6b - 2b 1x Torva Platebody - 1b - 1.2b 1x Pernix Cowl - 800m - 1b 1x Pernix Body - 1b - 1.2b 1x Pernix Chaps - 1b - 1.2b 1x Virtus Mask - 800m - 1b 1x Virtus Robe Legs - 1b - 1.2b 3x Pegasian Crystal - 3b - 6b 1x Eternal Crystal - 500m - 1b 1x Primordial Crystal - 2b - 3b 5x Dragon Claws - 1b - 2b 2x Dragon Warhammer - 400m - 800m 268x Chance of prismatic gems - 4b - 8b *potential with all gems - at 75% 3b - 6b 590x Crystal Key - 1.8b - 2.4b 510x Dark Totem - 1b - 2b 1285x Armadyl Shard/ 12.85x Armadyl Battlestaff - 3b+ 85 Void soulstone - something tells me people would pay at least 10m ea for these if they were tradeable - 850m Taking the avg of ea item it comes to 29.7b excluding potions and bones or 29.7m per box = 4.7m profit per box
-
Definitely agree. I like being able to go to the wild without risking anything, but that's not the point of the wilderness.

Awesome numbers, definitely not in your best interest Best part is the 85 soul stones
