As a recent college grad, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I worked my ass off in highschool and got a lot of scholarships to get into school for cheap. I went to a smaller school that was a lot cheaper. Combine those two, and I have less than $10,000 of debt- which I have already paid off since starting my job in the middle of December. My first job out of school gets me a very nice salary, 22 days pto plus 8 holidays, a healthy health/dental insurance and a good 401k match percent. Not many 22 year olds can say that. I dont think Every kid needs to be pushed to a 4 year education, but going to a college like that or a trade school benefits the average person so much. You definitely don’t need it to succeed, but it puts you on the right path. Trade schools are something that should be pushed more in society. There are a lot of trades that can net you a lot of money, but at the cost of your body. I have a squishy desk job that also allows for hands on and travel. I love it. For the people saying you learn better on the job, everyone does. College simply proves to your employer that you know to learn and you have the baseline knowledge to get into the field. So that right there is my opinion. Sorry if there is stupid spelling or auto corrected things. Phone is being dumb lol
